'Love Guru' gets mobile game treatment

Player X, Paramount Digital working on mini-games

EDINBURGH, Scotland -- Cellphone entertainment company Player X has extended its relationship with Paramount Digital Entertainment Co., teaming up to create a mobile game based on Mike Myers starrer "The Love Guru."

The game, developed by Tag Games, comprises six mini-games in which players try to achieve enlightenment by passing mental challenges.

" 'The Love Guru' mobile game is a great complement to the upcoming theatrical debut of the film," said Sandi Isaacs, senior vp mobile and interactive, Paramount Digital Entertainment. "We are excited to reunite with Player X to develop a game that will entertain audiences of all ages."

Player X inked a worldwide co-production and co-development deal with Paramount Pictures Digital Entertainment Group to develop, produce and format retrosodes on the back of the feature film trio "Saturday Night Fever," "Zoolander" and "Top Gun."
